Leopold Lederer

Am 15. April 1889 wurde in Duisburg LEOPOLD LEDERER geboren. Er war verheiratet mit ANNY LEDERER. Sie wohnten zunächst in Lahr und sind erst 1939 nach Freiburg gezogen. Hier lebten sie in der Eckerstraße 12 (heute Eckerstraße 4). Am 22. Oktober 1940 wurde das Ehepaar in das französische Internierungslager Gurs deportiert. Von dort wurde LEOPOLD LEDERER am 26. August 1942 zunächst in das KZ Drancy, danach mit dem Konvoi Nr. 24 in das KZ Auschwitz deportiert, wo er kurz darauf in den Gaskammern von Auschwitz im Alter von 53 Jahren ermordet wurde.

 

LEOPOLD LEDERER was born in Duisburg on 15 April 1889. He was married to
ANNY LEDERER. They first lived in Lahr and only moved to Freiburg in 1939. Here
they lived at Eckerstraße 12 (today Eckerstraße 4). On 22 October 1940, the couple
was deported to the French internment camp Gurs. From there, on 26 August 1942,
LEOPOLD LEDERER was deported first to the Drancy concentration camp, then
with convoy no. 24 to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where he was murdered
shortly afterwards in the gas chambers of Auschwitz at the age of 53.
